Who Got Saddam?

Tig had the scoop that the big "We got him" propaganda campaign annoucement maybe should be "They got him". Seems that the Kurds captured Saddam and turned him over the the US, who held him from 8:30 that night till 3pm the next day, no doubt just in time to get the news to come at just the right time.

I haven't decided if it's true or not, but it doesn't sound too far fetched to me.

I'm surprised we haven't heard "Where's the real Saddam" yet....

Sounds like you've already made up your mind.

US Soldiers found Saddam with $750,000. What, you think the kurds captured him, took a couple bucks for lunch money and left the rest for the Americans?

"Achmed, do we need any of this money? I could use another camel for the wife."

As this article suggests, if they'd already received, or were going to receive the $25 million bounty... well, $750,000 almost is lunch money.

You've got to be kidding me, right? Are you saying the $750,000 was tip money? "Thanks for the bounty, here's a little something for you guys"

The URL you point to isn't a news story. It's commentary with vague references. From your linked author's site(www.geraldplessner.com): "I love to skewer the right-wing hypocrites who parade as compassionate conservatives and the Libertarians who have never seen a government program or asset they didn’t want to give away to private interests."

He sounds fair and balanced. Maybe Fox News has a spot for him.
