Sydney - Scania

After over 1500 vehicles built with the 3 pointed star the STA in the 1990's chosed to replace their earliest Mk1 Mercedez-Benz's with the Swedish Scania. Originally 2 prototypes were obtained with the 'Ansair Commuter' body. However for all subsequent vehicles, including the streched 14.5m rigids and Low Floor models, the Ansair Orana body was used. It is widely beleived that the Commuter was a better looking body than the rather ungainly looking Orana.
